1.8 billion people worldwide lack access to safe drinking water. 1 in 5 people will die each day from unsanitary water-related illnesses. Of those 10,000 people that die daily from this issue, 90% are children. The World Water Crisis is a catastrophe, but WaterIsLife is on a mission to solve it.

WaterIsLife provides clean drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene education programs to schools and villages all over the world in desperate need. They are committed to providing 1 billion people with clean water.

After learning more about this incredible organization What If Media Group made a donation toward the installation of a water filtration unit, which will provide clean water to 500 families for a minimum of 10 years. In addition to the monetary donation, five employees traveled to a remote town in Puerto Rico – an area hit hard by the hurricane in 2017 – to install the filtration unit.

One of the employees who assisted on the mission exclaimed: “I think it’s safe to say that partaking in this trip was truly as life-changing for me as it was for the people of Yauqo, PR. It was so cool to partake in the installation of the water filtration system that provides thousands of people with access to clean water, something they never had. I left PR with some great memories, friends, and most importantly, the knowledge that we can make a difference!”

The world unfortunately has no shortage of major issues. However, we can make a difference when we group together to make change. WaterIsLife is proof as it continues its mission to solve the global water crisis. To make a donation, click here.
